This gorgeous fella is Blade. Everywhere Blade goes people stop and remark how stunning he is. He has show dog looks! Blade had a family at home and loved his mom and little boy, but one day his dad tried to take his food away and Blade didn't like that much and it got him dumped at the pound :(
Blade doesn't like for you to take his food away. Most of us don't! But, if you offer Blade a training treat he turns his attention elsewhere and all is good. So Blade needs a home where humans don't feel the need to take his things away or put their hands in his food. And, probably one without kids or older kids who understand this concept. Simple enough!
Blade is the perfect fella! He loves other dogs, especially the ladies! But he'd also be fine in a home as an only dog if he got plenty of attention. True to the breed, we'd like to see him go to a home without cats or small animals and with a fenced yard but he does walk well on a leash.
Blade is only 1 year old and has a lifetime of love to offer. If you're not familiar with the Breed, please educate yourself before applying. Blade is neutered, healthy and current on his vaccines. He is being fostered in NC but can be transported to MD or NJ for an approved family.
~~The Last Resort is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
